We from the LINDEMANN H O T E  L S® focus on the improvements in waste management, sustainability, and energy- and water saving in our hotels.

Operational improvements such as improved procedures and reduced power consumption will benefit the environment. Our sustainability efforts include all areas. From recycling, to composting of kitchen waste, to the conversion to energy saving lighting. We are also convinced that the environment concerns all. Therefore we are always open to joint activities with selected partners.
 
 

• Waste separation and waste disposal
• Use of LED light on the hallways (the motion detectors are turned off to avoid continuous energy consumption)
• Purchase of local products in order to save unnecessary supply routes, freight costs and energy
• By active selling of tickets for the Berlin public transport, we encourage our guests to use public transport.
• The change of towels is onlymade on request of our guests and thus binds the guest in our environmental policy with one.
• In each room, water-saving modules are available to reduce overall water use without compromising quality.
• We are also coordinating our suppliers between our houses, so that only one supply route is needed. Thus in turn will lower emissions and CO2-production.

Additionally, in LINDEMANN'S we implemented the following:

• Our air conditioners only function with the windows closed, thus ensuring that no heat or cold outflow produced outside.
• We use key cards and electricity. Here, the electrical circuit is interrupted when leaving the room for environmental reasons.
• It has installed a water softener, as this means less cleaning required for the cleaning of the bathrooms.
